Tummy Bug
Thu May 19 11:59amKia ora whanau,
Please be aware that we have a gastro bug making its way through the school at the moment. This bug comes on quite fast with vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and possibly a fever.
The best treatment is to drink lots of fluids to prevent dehydration and careful handwashing is the most important way to prevent the spread of bug.
As gastro bugs spread very easily, we ask that you please keep your sick child at home until 48 hours without vomiting and diarrhoea as per recommended guidelines.

Covid-19 Update
Thu Apr 07 09:25amMorena whanau,
As the end of term draws near, we see ourselves facing a second wave of Covid-19 hitting the kura. Over the week we have seen our numbers rise dramatically among our families. We have currently 16 cases, which is the highest we have ever had.
We are now also experiencing members of families, who are having to isolate for a second time due to being after the 10 days isolation period if the did not catch Covid the first time. If you are unsure of who needs to isolate and when you are required to isolate, please do not hesitate to give me a call, or check with the Ministry of Health.
We ask that you continue to be extremely vigilant in monitoring your child/ren for symptoms and maintain good hygiene practices. It is also hard at this time as there is also the winter colds and flu beginning to set in.
If someone in your whanau tests positive or is a household contact, please continue to let myself know so were are able to accurately track absences. While in isolation if your child/ren test positive, please let us know, as this effects their isolation period and return to school date.
Due to the end of term being next week and our numbers increasing, we will continue to keep with our current safety precautions and continue to ask that if you are onsite please wear a mask.
God Bless.
Mrs Shanks

Covid Update
Mon Mar 28 07:00amMorena whanau,
Over the weekend, the new changes under Red level came into effect. This has very little impact on our safety measures that we have in place within the kura.
You will continue to still see QR codes up around the school as we have been advised not to rush to take them down just yet, even though you are no longer required to scan in when entering onto the school site.
Regarding mask wearing: under the new rules you are no longer required to wear masks outside. However, we ask that when you come onto site, if you would still consider wearing a mask while we still have a number of positive Covid-19 cases within our community. We want to reduce transmission as much as possible and this is one way that we are able to continue to be vigilant against this virus. It is through these safety measures that we have been able to keep our cases low and we wish to continue to do so.
All other measures remain the same until further notice.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
God Bless.
